教學內容 Course Outline
課程概述 Course Description:
This course aims to enhance students’ overall language abilities in listening, reading, speaking, and writing: It is designed to develop students' communicative competence to manage daily life conversations and presentation skills for general and academic purposes. It also help students consolidate their language foundation in vocabulary, collocations, sentence patterns and grammar in use in various situations.
教學目標 Course Objectives:
Students will enhance their reading comprehension under the guidance and practices of skills such as previewing, predicting, skimming, scanning, summarizing, and paraphrasing. Class activities are designed to encourage and motivate students to present viewpoints with the critical thinking skills of interpreting, analyzing, comparing, or evaluating, so that they will be able to understand multiple interpretations of scenarios from different cultural backgrounds. Students will be expected to complete a wide range of assignments and accomplish relevant exercises.
