教學內容 Course Outline

課程概述 Course Description：

For this academic year, the course covers diverse genres of literary works, including prose, fiction, poetry and drama. Students will read, analyze, and discuss literary works with special attention to the literary elements as well as the cultural, psychological, historical, and social implications of the text. 

教學目標 Course Objectives：

This course aims to enhance students’ ability and skill to read, appreciate, and analyze literary works. Literary conventions and terminology, including the elements of fiction, poetry, and drama, will be introduced to increase students’ competence in critical reading and knowledge of formal literary elements. The course is designed to help students be familiar with the interpretative approaches to literature. Thus, students are expected to examine the crucial aspects of literary works through critical reading and in-class discussion and express their appreciation of the selected literary works.
