課程概述 Course Description：

In this course, the students will receive training in speaking and listening comprehension, paying attention to various aspects of spoken English, including accurate pronunciation, grammar (usage of tenses, inflections, articles, etc.), vocabulary, intonation, as well as general fluency and coherence&nbs

第01週教綱 outline：Introductory remarks; review.
第02週教綱 outline：Jobs we would love and hate to have! The because construction.  Grammar: present tense. Form and usage.
第03週教綱 outline：Work, rest, and play. Hobbies. Ways to spend time.  American English and British English: similarities and differences.
第04週教綱 outline：Finding the other half. Grammar: present continuous. Pronunciation: the vowel [ʌ] (She doesn't love him)
第05週教綱 outline：How to say it? How to respond? Intonation in interaction.  Scrabble: usage. Word formation, grammar. 
第06週教綱 outline：Out of this world. Space travel. Is it for you? Pronunciation: the vowel [eɪ] (At the railway station)
第07週教綱 outline：Festivals and traditions in the English-speaking world. Grammar: must have done etc.
第08週教綱 outline：TV and internet today. What are they for? Use and abuse. Statistical analysis in class. Grammar: present perfect. Scrabble. 
第09週教綱 outline：Man or machine? Robots: yes or no? How should/could they be used? The vowel [u:] (The two rudest students in the school).
