一、教學目標：
This course is to upgrade students' English listening and speaking proficiency, with a focus on communicative abilities. Students are expected to achieve three pedagogical objectives: (a) Language Development: Students will listen to passages
and dialogues, read articles, and speak and discuss for effective communication in English. (b) Cultural Enrichment: Students will access to topical issues in English so as to enrich their understanding of culture, society and the world. (c) Personal
Growth: Students will be encouraged to exercise critical thinking, express their viewpoints and explore their individual strengths and interests.
