一、教學目標：
- to help students learn techniques in taking notes for lectures
- to guide students to listen to main ideas and details
- to guide students to listen critically and objectively
- to improve students’ confidence when expressing themselves in front of a group
- to improve students’ fluency and accuracy in speaking English
- to familiarize students with communicative strategies and the functional use of English
- to give students information about sociolinguistic rules that may differ from those in their own culture.
- to provide students with activities to practice their listening and speaking skills
