    一、教學目標:

    1. to help students learn techniques in taking notes for lectures
    2. to guide students to listen to main ideas and details
    3. to guide students to listen critically and objectively
    4. to improve students’ confidence when expressing themselves in front of a group
    5. to improve students’ fluency and accuracy in speaking English
    6. to familiarize students with communicative strategies and the functional use of English
    7. to give students information about sociolinguistic rules that may differ from those in their own culture.
    8. to provide students with activities to practice their listening and speaking skills
