教學內容 Course Outline

課程概述 Course Description：

In this course, students will develop advanced language skills and knowledge for a variety of occasions in traveling, both for pleasure or business. This approach emphasizes experiential learning and, as such, students will prepare and present various short presentation employing real-life scenarios. Course design includes listening drills, oral reports, role play, class discussion, pair works, and professional presentations. Students will work on a number of skills employed in listening and speaking effectively.

教學目標 Course Objectives：

This course aims to familiarize students with tourist English while enhancing students’overall language abilities.It is designed to develop students' communicative competence to manage various situations in trips with adequate English language skills. It also helps students consolidate their language foundation in vocabulary, collocations, sentence patterns and grammar in use. Class activities are designed to encourage and motivate students to use English with the critical thinking skills of interpreting, analyzing, comparing, or evaluating, so that they will be able to understand multiple interpretations of scenarios from different cultural backgrounds. Students will be expected to complete a wide range of assignments and accomplish relevant exercises.
