Date: 24 June to 4 July 2025The 2025 Summer Vocal Intensive Workshop is a collaboration between the Department of Music at National Kaohsiung Normal University and the International Vocal Artists Academy of Payerbach, Austria (IVAAP), to enhance the skills of young singers through a rigorous two-week training program. IVAAP emphasizes practical results and employs techniques suitable for music students and experienced professionals, positioning these methods as essential tools to enhance the singer’s lifelong development. Participants are encouraged to realize the potential for significant improvement through focus and daily practice in this immersive environment.
Teaching Content
The 2-week Workshop Package:
Tuition: 1000 Euro (€)
Recruiting number of persons: 15 vocalists max.
1. 10 individual lessons/ 50 min each lesson (4 lessons with Professor Vladimir Chernov, 6 lessons with Olga Toporkova)
2. 3 Masterclasses with Prof Vladimir Chernov.
3. 3 lectures about vocal anatomy and vocalization with Olga Toporkova and Dr Chen Hsing An.
4. One concert performance at NKNU.
The Individual 1-1 Vocal Lesson / 60min
Tuition: 100 Euro (€)
The organization reserves the right for this arrangement due to Prof Chernov and Ms Toporkova’s limited teaching time.
Three Lectures About Vocal Anatomy and Vocalization Technique with Olga Toporkova and Dr Chen Hsing An for 50 persons max. Tuition: Participating one lecture: 55 Euro (€); a total of three lectures :140 Euro (€).
Selected Collaborative Pianist For Piano Major Musicians Only Learning Outcomes:
Participate in Professor Chernov's lesson and Masterclass, working with selected singers. Further understand vocal techniques and knowledge. Improve piano skills and sight-reading ability. Study the accompaniment styles of operas and art songs of different periods. Expand relevant experience in vocal technology, music interpretation, and collaborative art.
Applicants will be awarded a teaching assistant scholarship. After the deduction of the scholarship, your tuition fee shows as:

Recruitment qualification for vocalists and collaborative pianists. (The video submission is requested in your registration form.) Vocalist: Pre-screen: 2 different styles videos from applicant’s selected vocal program to YouTube requested 2 links. This request applies to all applicants including the 1-1 individual lesson, and workshop package.
Collaborative Pianist: Applicants must submit a video of 10 minutes or more to YouTube requested 1 link.
